Can it get any quieter?

I don't know where to go.  I don't want to stay here.  I went the places I wanted to go yesterday.  I think it's a "holiday".  I've gotten two texts from friends regarding this Halmark Holiday.  That was nice.  I don't want to interrupt anyone who may actually be having an holiday.  I would just like to get in the car and drive.  A Sunday drive?  Sure.  But I have to have the car back here by one to be chauffeur.  Funny I was just asking for one yesterday, today I am one.  Careful what you ask for.  If it were sunny in the yard I would pull out my book for a spell.  Stupid shade.  I suppose I should learn to enjoy the quiet.

Thumb-twiddling lessons anyone?

  1. I have a sore throat, a cough that hurts like hell and I don't want to go anywhere. I still didn't want to twiddle my thumbs, so I pulled the vinyl decals off my work bike and wiped the paint down with Goo Gone. At least now it doesn't scream "I'M A CHEAPO $100 CANADIAN TIRE BIKE!!!"

I twiddle in a forward motion, my right thumb doing most of the "twiddling".

I could have posted this on my blog, but here at least one person might read it...

  2. Some times are best spent as chauffeur or in quiet solitude. Could be gift horse in mouth looking syndrome at play.
    or not.
I'm not too clear on these matters of late.

  3. I twiddled my thumbs – but that was only because I was using the controller for my Xbox, I assure you.
