Is it copywrite?

So, what's the scoop with copyright here on these blogs? I only have three readers (10 on a good day...as far as I can tell), so I'm not real worried about the implications of anything I write here. When I have pulled from other online sources, articles, blogs, etc, I have given the link or information to get back to the site I found the information on. But, is a copyright implied? or directly given when publishing online? I don't want to research this. (Gawd...don't make me use a good day that way.) I just hope someone has a quick, short, understandable answer can share this amazing knowledge with me..

  2. I remember this from early JS because there were so many writers there. There can be legal implications to copying material, but it's unlikely anyone would persue it unless you profited.
Copyright is kind of implied in most cases.

  4. I think if you are merely expounding on something or opening another's remarks for pondering or discussion by the reader, you should be ok.

I have nothing to say aside from my photos, and as Kate says, copyright is implied on your own stuff as soon as you publish it. So it would go for someone else. Critique or illustration of a point is allowed.

  5. You automatically have copyright of any piece of art, writing, photograph, etc that you create although in some cases copyright may belong to your employer if created as part of your job.

This copyright lasts until several years after your death - the exact number varies in different countries.

No one can reproduce the item without your permission, but as mentioned earlier, most non professional don't mind as long as it's not done for profit and an acknowledgement is made (such as a link back to the original)
